I've been taking Pilates lessons with Amanda for 4+ years, and she's everything you want in an instructor: professional, personable, and extremely knowledgeable about the human body. Form is so important in Pilates, and Amanda ensures exercises are always done in proper form--she knows what adjustments to make immediately. Since starting Pilates, I've increased my flexibility and strength, and learned about new muscle groups I didn't know existed. Amanda has an encyclopedic memory for different exercises, and no session is the same. She listens, accommodates, and is genuine. She's the best!

 I've been taking private and semi-private lessons with Amanda Lewis for about a year and half. A physical therapist I was seeing about two years ago recommended that I switch from yoga to Pilates because I needed more core strength, not flexibility, to alleviate my pretty much constant back pain. My insurance cut off my PT, and so I switched to private lessons with Amanda. She is an excellent, patient, and attentive teacher. While not a physical therapist, she is conscientious of my back problems, and I always feel safe that I will not injure myself in our sessions, even while she pushes me to do my best and become stronger (it is an exercise class after all!) And I have noticed a difference! I feel less back pain, and my body is well on it's way to Beyonce-land. I just got married and everyone told me I looked great. I also felt great, so thank you Amanda!

Amanda is amazing!!!!  I started coming to see her for individual Pilates instruction because of chronic and severe back pain I have been dealing with for some time. Of all the professionals I've seen, Amanda was the first to understand the mechanics of what was going on. Amanda has helped me with so much more than exercising--she has helped me begin to heal my body at a time when nobody else could.  She's also supported and inspired me to move forward during an extremely difficult time. If you have a chance, work with Amanda! I can't emphasize enough how much she has done for me and how special she is!  Oh- did I mention I have abs now for the first time in my life! Thank you Amanda :-) !!

I take the one-on-one sessions with Amanda--and what an amazing difference! After every session, I feel much better. She helps strengthen weakened areas without straining other parts of your body. I see and feel the difference every time. Also, her knowledge of the correct forms, and explaining the small differences, really helps not only for the exercises in her sessions, but also for other physical activity and how you carry yourself throughout the day.

I have been working with Amanda for almost 2 years now. She is very professional, humorous and an excellent instructor who will start you at your level and continue to challenge you to improve while not pushing too hard. Her style is traditional Pilates with a few of her own twists developed over years of instruction. I would rate her a Master Pilates instructor.

I am a huge fan of Amanda's Pilates class. I've been taking her classes for almost three years now, and feel more fit than I was before having two kids. Amanda is incredibly fit, always provides options for each level in the class, and is also totally entertaining and makes the time fly. If I ever miss a class I feel completely out of sorts mentally and physically, so I know how invaluable Amanda's classes are to my sanity!
